Hi Everyone,
So, I have recently been using YouTube to re-watch classical shows from my childhood. Bear in the Big Blue House, Story Makers, Come Outside. Old shows bringing a sense of nostalgia for me as a 90s kid. Well, then I found a gem, my favourite show when I was a child, that I lost 14 years ago and I have finally found again: Animals of Farthing Wood.
If you have not seen this show, every episode is available on YouTube and I would advise you go and check them out. It is a powerful show, carrying sombre messages about how humans across Europe mistreat nature. The sad part is that many of this show's 'evils', such as the destruction of animal's habitats, pheasant shoots and the aggression towards animals shown by some humans in towns, still happen today, nearly 20 years after the show's final episode aired. Recently, the British government declared they were to build 85,000 houses in the next 11 years, 'some' of which will be built on Green Belt land. The EU needs to reform its plans, and the British government needs to make better use of brown field land.
Animals of Farthing Wood was educational both for children and adults, and I recently found a petition to the BBC to have this classical show released on DVD. Please support this petition, so that we can show future generations the damage we humans are causing, damage that must be stopped! Soon, in less than half a century, there may be no actual green belt land left in the UK, and other countries may follow. Let's help to stop this! No show made before or since carry the same messages with as much strength as AoFW.

Track Trains in the U.K
Ever wondered how to track trains across the U.K (and not just the passenger ones)? Check out the following websites to track trains real time across the U.K:
realtimetrains.co.uk provides lists and real time service reports for both passing and stopping trains for free. Also has a pay-for-use Android app.
opentraintimes.com is the same as RTT but has a maps feature as well as slightly more information for free.
traksy.uk allows the user to observe signal block maps across the U.K rail network which update constantly in real time and what trains are in them as well as providing real time data in a similar format to RTT and OTT(trains displ
I Stand With Manchester
My greatest condolences go out to the people of Manchester this sombre morning. My heart and soul are with them, and I stand with them in tribute to those no longer with us. This was an atrocity at what many should have found a great evening, and whoever the culprit, this was not acceptable for any belief, or interest. R.I.P all you Manchester victims, let us stand united now.
Volunteering
Well, my life has gotten substantially busier. I have started volunteering work at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in Somerset, England. At Secret World we deal with injured and orphaned wildlife and do our best to help them and return them to the wild. A demanding task, taking care of animals while trying to avoid all unnecessary human contact. Nonetheless, it is also very rewarding. I'll still try to keep deviations coming though!
R.I.P
Cancer has taken another great, star of Plague Dogs, 1984, Watership Down, Harry Potter, BBC's Merlin, Doctor Who and many, many other films and TV series, the great Sir John Hurt has passed away. R.I.P John, you will be sorely missed, but your talent shall live on. 😢
